A soon as the rain stopped this group of snails came out for there own wander. But whoever decided that the collective noun for a group of Snails should be a 'Walk' needs a bit of a talking too.
A 'rout' or an 'escargatoire' of snails can also been used apparently... just in case you were wondering....
The Isle of Purbeck is a peninsula on the southern tip of the the county of Dorset in England. The photographs I take, hopefully, help to express how I feel about this magical place and show you things which you may see if you come to visit. I am a full time, professional photographer and have a gallery in Swanage. Please feel free to click on the picture to see it larger or to look at my other photographs. www.purbeckfootprints.co.uk

My 4 year old daughter loves snails. At the moment we have to add a good 10 mins to our walks because she likes to stop to inspect every snail we see, mostly to check whether the birds have taken a snack or not! I love this image, as well as the others I have looked through on here, beautiful photos that remind me of how good we have it down here!
