I drive past these sheep twice a day on the way to and from work and have meant to take a shot for quite a while. These are Soay sheep, an ancient breed used to keep the castle grass short and the ghosts of Cromwells army away. They are very cute, but have a bit of an evil look about them.
The Isle of Purbeck is a peninsula on the southern tip of the the county of Dorset in England. The photographs I take, hopefully, help to express how I feel about this magical place and show you things which you may see if you come to visit. I am a full time, professional photographer and have a gallery in Swanage. Please feel free to click on the picture to see it larger or to look at my other photographs. www.purbeckfootprints.co.uk

Oh I think they look very cool! I wouldn't have ever guessed that they are sheep. Our sheep here are different the ususal white fluffy kind.
I have seen these a few times at Corfe Castle, they do look more like goats than sheep.
