The Fulmar Cliff

Image
The Fulmar is a beautiful bird and one that is always great to watch. We have a few breeding pairs along the Purbeck coast but they are not easy to see when they are on the nest. So, I was quite pleased when I stumbled across a cliff view that made it easy to watch a few pairs.

A Modified Fox

Image
I don't normally modify my photographs, I prefer to let nature sort out the details for me. That said, every now and again I get asked for something a bit different. This picture is just one of those.
I must admit, I quite like this one but I won't be making a habit of it.

Stag Party

Image
A trip to Arne today gave me the chance to get my Sika fix. Wonderful animals these and if you are careful and a little lucky, you can get quite close.

I didn't have the heart to try and get close to this one, he looked far too comfortable.

Hide & Seek

Image
I had a chance last night to spend a little bit of time with a young Fox. He was very curious and, although wary, was happy to play a game of hide and seek. Time spent like this, with a wild animal in its own environment that is happy to share it with you, really is quite incredible,

I only had the small lens on the camera, which was handy because he came very close.

Saturday Adders

Image
There are a few topics that tend to always come up while we are on a walk, the chance of seeing Dolphins is one and the Adders are another.
For me, seeing an Adder is always special and here on the Isle of Purbeck we can see them all year round.

A Long Week

Finally, it's the weekend. Blue skies and bright sunlight are forecast so I may just be able to get out with the camera. Another sunrise like this would be nice.
