I drive past these sheep twice a day on the way to and from work and have meant to take a shot for quite a while. These are Soay sheep, an ancient breed used to keep the castle grass short and the ghosts of Cromwells army away. They are very cute, but have a bit of an evil look about them.

Oh I think they look very cool! I wouldn't have ever guessed that they are sheep. Our sheep here are different the ususal white fluffy kind.
ReplyDeleteI have seen these a few times at Corfe Castle, they do look more like goats than sheep.
